Job Description

Role & responsibilities Perform regular maintenance and inspections on cranes to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on cranes. Repair or replace faulty crane components such as hoists, pulleys, winches, motors, and electrical systems. Conduct safety checks on crane rigging, lifting mechanisms, and load-bearing components. Test and calibrate crane systems to ensure proper functionality. Respond to emergency breakdowns and repair cranes to minimize downtime. Maintain records of all inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to complete complex repairs or system overhauls. Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and operational standards related to crane usage. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to guide repairs and maintenance. Perform lubrication and cleaning tasks to prevent wear and tear on mechanical parts. Assist in training junior mechanics or other team members when necessary. Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness. Monitor crane usage and provide recommendations to improve crane performance and longevity.
