Job Summary:

IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

CP4D Deployment & Configuration:

• Install, configure, and upgrade CP4D components in on-prem or cloud environments.
• Manage CP4D clusters, services, and user access controls.

Data Integration & Management:

• Ingest, transform, and manage data using CP4D tools (DataStage, Data Virtualization, Watson Knowledge Catalog, etc.).
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines within CP4D.

AI/ML & Analytics Enablement:

• Support AI/ML workloads on CP4D (Watson Machine Learning, AutoAI, Jupyter Notebooks).
• Deploy and manage ML models and APIs.

Security & Governance:

• Implement data governance policies and lineage tracking in Watson Knowledge Catalog.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards.

Performance & Troubleshooting:

• Monitor CP4D services for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform and data pipeline issues.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate CP4D into existing data ecosystems.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and SOPs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data v4.x or later.
• Proficiency in

  DataStage

  Watson Knowledge Catalog

  ,

  Data Virtualization

  , and

  Watson Machine Learning

• Solid understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift for CP4D deployments.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and data pipeline development.

Experience:

• 5-7 years in Data Engineering / Data Platform Administration roles.
• Prior experience in CP4D installation, migration, or integration projects.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in agile, collaborative environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IBM Certified Specialist Cloud Pak for Data.
• Experience integrating CP4D with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (scikit-learn,TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks.
