Counselor

As a member of the team at Lotus Petal Foundation, a renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to creating equal opportunities for underprivileged children in urban and semi-urban areas, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive educational and counselling plans. Your work will revolve around fostering equal opportunity practices and encouraging students" association, thus contributing to upward social mobility and impactful interventions in Education, Nutrition, and Livelihood. Your key tasks will include advising and counselling students on academic, educational, and social-emotional issues, ensuring universal accessibility and personalized attention to each student, providing individual student planning and responsive services, teaching guidance classes, and conducting counselling sessions to convey essential information. You will also collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and specialists to address students" academic and educational needs, participate in student success teams, and support various student activities and events. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong desire and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and levels of ability, excellent organizational and time management skills, effective communication abilities, and familiarity with student assessment tools and educational software. A qualification in BA/MA in Psychology or equivalent and 2-5 years of relevant experience are preferred for this full-time position.
