As a Counselor at our offline center, you will have the opportunity to guide students and their families in pursuing education abroad. Your expertise and empathetic approach will empower students to make well-informed decisions about their academic and career aspirations. Your key responsibilities will include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions with students to understand their academic background, career goals, and aspirations for studying abroad. You will provide detailed information about study abroad options, universities, courses, and application processes. Additionally, you will assess students" strengths, interests, and achievements to recommend suitable courses and universities. Offering insights into career prospects and pathways related to different fields of study will be part of your academic and career consultation role. You will also help students in shortlisting universities based on their academic profile, preferences, financial constraints, and career objectives. Providing information about university rankings, programs, admission requirements, and cultural aspects will be crucial. Guiding students through the application process, including document preparation, crafting impactful statements of purpose (SOPs), and building professional resumes will be among your duties. You will advise students on standardized tests required for admission, recommend effective test preparation resources, and strategies to achieve competitive scores. Financial planning discussions will involve estimating the costs of studying abroad, including tuition, living expenses, and scholarship opportunities, and helping students create a realistic budget. You will explore funding options to support their education. Moreover, you will provide comprehensive guidance on visa application processes, required documentation, interview preparation, and ensure students are fully prepared for visa interviews and comply with immigration requirements. We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, psychology, counseling, or a related field, along with 1-5 years of experience in education counseling, preferably in study abroad services. In-depth knowledge of global university systems, admission processes, and visa regulations is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizational abilities, attention to detail, empathy, patience, and a student-first approach are desired qualities.
