Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Counselor, based in Gaya. The Counselor will engage directly with students and parents to guide them on academic and career-related decisions, provide emotional and motivational support, and assist in addressing any concerns or challenges. Additional responsibilities may include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, organizing and leading group workshops, maintaining records, and collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and parents
• Experience in counseling practices, academic guidance, and career planning
• Organizational and record-keeping skills for managing student information effectively
• Ability to identify problems, provide solutions, and mediate conflicts with empathy
• Proficiency in using basic computer applications and familiarity with education management systems is advantageous
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Previous experience in student counseling or a related role will be considered a strong asset
