Costing & Sourcing Specialist

Role Overview: As a Costing & Sourcing Specialist at Syngene, you will be responsible for managing procurement, RFX, and costing of Biologics raw material, consumables, and Media/Resin on a commercial scale. Your core purpose will include developing procurement category management strategies for the Biologics operating unit in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). You will also be expected to drive supplier life cycle management, negotiations, supplier consolidation, and strategic relationship management to optimize supplier performance and achieve cost savings. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute procurement category management strategies for Biologics operating unit, ensuring compliance with cGMP. - Expertise in RFP costing, AVD development, and costing of materials. - Manage supplier life cycle including selection, assessment, and development to optimize supplier performance. - Negotiate best possible cost and service guarantees with suppliers, developing win-win strategies for sustainable relationships and savings. - Collaborate with technical team and suppliers to develop innovative products at optimized cost and delivery. - Manage internal and external customers through regular MIS, communication, and meetings. - Accountable for meeting Customer QUOTIFs and ensuring timely delivery of materials of the right quality. - Execute the MSA of key spend suppliers and ARC of repeat purchases. - Define and execute strategic supplier relationship management with key suppliers. - Implement supply chain strategies by developing Global suppliers, identifying supplier risk areas, and executing risk mitigation actions. - Identify, develop, and qualify 2nd source from India for key raw materials as part of business continuity plan. - Evaluate vendors to improve product, cost, quality, and delivery performance. - Ensure compliance with QMS events, SOPs, and GMP requirements. - Co-ordinate with vendors for vendor qualification/re-qualification and follow approved vendor list for procurement activities. - Responsible for audit conduct and clearance in alignment with GMP requirements.
