Job Summary:

Senior Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems for infrastructure projects and operational units.
• Monitor and track project costs including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
• Perform regular

  cost variance analysis

  , identifying reasons for deviations from budgets or estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and operations to forecast costs and support budgeting processes.
• Analyze and report on

  cost structures, cost drivers

  , and trends affecting project profitability.
• Prepare and maintain

  project-wise cost reports

  , dashboards, and financial summaries.
• Implement and enforce

  cost control procedures

  , ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in

  bid and estimation processes

  by providing cost inputs and feasibility checks.
• Assist with

  inventory valuation, WIP analysis

  , and reconciliation of cost data with the general ledger.
• Support internal and external audits with relevant cost documentation and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CMA, CA-Inter, or CPA

  qualification preferred.
• Relevant experience in cost accounting within infrastructure, construction, EPC, or manufacturing sectors.
• Proficient in

  ERP systems

  and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with

  project-based accounting, capital expenditure tracking

  , and regulatory compliance.

• Experience working on
