• Lead the costing process for cable assemblies and wiring harnesses, including component-
level and assembly-level calculations.
• Develop prototypes in coordination with engineering and production teams, ensuring
accuracy, manufacturability, and customer specifications.
• Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM), route sheets, and process flow documents for new
products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to take new products from concept to production
release.
• Work closely with the business development and sales teams to support RFQ responses and
customer interactions.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives through value engineering, alternative sourcing, and
process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with customer standards, industry regulations, and internal quality
systems (IATF 16949, ISO, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in wiring harness costing and new product
development.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical components, connectors, terminals, sleeves,
and harness manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in interpreting customer drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience in developing prototypes and transitioning products to mass production.
• Familiar with costing software/tools and ERP systems (added advantage).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
