Costing Engineer

As a **Senior Costing Engineer** specializing in **Panel Costing** within the Automation sector, your primary role will involve managing and overseeing all activities related to panel costing. Your deep understanding of Siemens and other Automation products, such as PLCs, Drives, AC & DC Drives, CNC systems, DCS, PCS, Electrical Panels, and Instrumentation Panels, will be crucial for this position. Key Responsibilities: - **Panel Costing Management:** Take charge of all panel costing activities to ensure accurate and timely final costing. - **Expert Product Knowledge:** Showcase an in-depth understanding of Siemens products and various automation systems, including PLC, Drives, CNC, DCS, PCS, as well as electrical and instrumentation panels. - **Independent Costing & Team Handling:** Lead costing tasks independently while also overseeing a team of engineers. - **Technical Discussions & Support:** Engage in technical discussions with clients, internal teams, and vendors to finalize requirements, configurations, and costs. - **Team Coordination & Reporting:** Regularly update management on costing progress, status, and any potential issues. - **Knowledge of Automation Products & Switchgear:** Stay informed about the latest developments in automation, electrical panels, and switchgear. - **Strong Communication Skills:** Demonstrate excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external customers. - **Panel Costing Expertise:** Ensure precise and competitive costing for all types of panels across various sectors. Qualifications Required: - Strong knowledge of Siemens automation products and systems. - Proficiency in panel costing and project costing. - Experience with PLC, Drives, DCS, PCS, and instrumentation panels. - Ability to work independently and lead a team. - Excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Capability to handle technical discussions and negotiations. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Proactive, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. - Prior experience in panel and automation product costing is highly preferred. - Proficiency in MS Excel. Experience with SIEPAN or SIECOST software is a plus.
