Cost Controller

As a Cost Controller at EMMVEE Group, you will leverage your 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in cost control, cost accounting, and inventory management, particularly within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing and analyzing the cost structure of our manufacturing operations, ensuring effective cost control, accurate inventory valuation, budgeting, and reporting to facilitate management decision-making. Your expertise in costing standards, cost analysis, and familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, will be crucial in this role. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring, recording, and analyzing manufacturing costs such as material, labor, and overhead, performing product costing, cost roll-ups, and BOM cost analysis. You will conduct monthly analysis of standard cost versus actual cost and provide variance reporting. Additionally, you will supervise inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, oversee periodic inventory audits, cycle counts, and stock reconciliations, and ensure proper inventory valuation in line with accounting standards. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in assisting with the preparation of annual budgets, cost forecasts, and operational planning, monitoring budget utilization, and identifying any cost overruns or deviations. Your collaboration with IT/ERP teams to ensure system-based costing and reporting accuracy, maintenance of cost master data in SAP, and support for the implementation of new modules or upgrades related to costing will be essential. Your role will also involve preparing and submitting monthly management information system (MIS) reports on costs, inventory, and profitability, facilitating internal and external audits by providing necessary costing data, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements related to cost accounting. You will continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement, working closely with production, purchase, stores, and finance teams to gather cost-related inputs and provide insights to support decision-making for new product launches or process changes. To excel in this position, you should possess a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and standards. Proficiency in SAP HANA, advanced Excel skills, financial modeling capabilities, analytical thinking, attention to detail, effective communication, inter-departmental coordination, and knowledge of manufacturing processes and bill of materials (BOM) structures are key skills required for this role.
