Cost and Production Analyst (CPA)

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing the accounting team, product profitability, and product costing of the plant, including the allocation of overhead costs. Additionally, you will be in charge of inventory and fixed asset control, product costing, variance analysis, COGS reconciliation, and preparing cost sheets. Your role will also involve supporting production and commercial functions by providing vital information on element-wise costs for better cost control. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the accounting team and oversee product profitability and costing, including overhead allocation - Control inventory and fixed assets - Conduct product costing, variance analysis, and COGS reconciliation - Prepare cost sheets, reconcile standard costs with actual costs, control inventory, and manage month-end closing inventory - Provide essential information on costs to production and commercial functions - Maintain overhead analysis, track actual expenses, and close books of accounts monthly - Prepare quarterly and yearly projections for management review - Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and schedules - Coordinate with colleagues and audit staff, update reports, and prepare data for tax audit reports - Monitor sales invoices processing and prepare internal reports and P&L analysis - Define, implement, monitor, and improve internal controls - Ensure compliance with direct and indirect taxes - Analyze Capex spends and report on them - Handle insurance of plant assets and stocks Qualification Required: - Cost Accountant with 7+ years of relevant post-qualification experience or Semi-Qualified Cost Accountant with 10+ years of relevant experience - Experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in the cement industry - Knowledge of maintaining Cost Accounting Records, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, and Internal Audit - Familiarity with Financial Analysis & Controls, Financial Planning & Controls, and Internal Control & Audits - Ability to develop relationships, influence key decision-makers, and interpret basic financial data - Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and GSuite - Fluency in English, Hindi, and Telugu languages is preferable (Note: Any additional details of the company were not present in the provided job description),
