Cost Accounts Executive / Officer

As a Cost Accountant, your role involves the following responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain product-wise costing, including raw material, labor, and overheads. - Analyze variance between standard cost and actual cost and report deviations. - Calculate and update Bill of Material (BOM) costs periodically. - Prepare landed cost for imported materials and evaluate cost competitiveness for exports. - Support in pricing of export quotations and domestic tenders with cost sheets. - Assist in preparation of annual budgets and monitor departmental expenditures. - Implement and track cost control measures across production, logistics, and procurement. - Prepare cost comparison reports for local vs imported materials. - Ensure correct valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods as per accounting standards. - Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile discrepancies. - Support physical inventory audits and coordinate with the stores and production team. - Prepare and analyze import cost sheets (including freight, customs duty, clearing, and insurance). - Evaluate export profitability considering FOB/CIF pricing, freight, and export incentives. - Liaise with logistics and customs teams for documentation and duty drawback calculations. - Prepare monthly cost statements and profitability reports. - Present cost trend analysis to management for decision-making. - Ensure compliance with Cost Audit requirements, if applicable.
