Cost Accountant

Job Title:

Cost Accountant / Finance Analyst

Objectives of this Role:

• Develop strategies to reduce costs and analyze product pricing to ensure optimal return on investment.
  
• Prepare budgeting reports by collecting and consolidating information from various departments.
  
• Investigate discrepancies in financial records and perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  
• Prepare Monthly and Weekly MIS reports.
  
• Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with Indian accounting regulations and standards.
  
• Manage closure of financial statements.
  

Key Responsibilities / Your Tasks:

• Examine production costs to identify and implement the most efficient production methods.
  
• Ensure proper classification of expenses under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  
• Research and verify material costs for accuracy in the companys accounting system.
  
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard vs. actual production costs.
  
• Participate in physical inventory counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  
• Monitor and track all direct labor, overhead, and manufacturing-related expenses.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance or Commerce with specialization in Accountancy.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data analytics tools.
  
• Minimum

  5+ years of experience

  in accounting or a related role.
• Strong critical thinking and data-driven decision-making ability.
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder discussions.
  
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial information.
