Cosmetic Chemist

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and develop advanced cosmetic and dermocosmetic products from concept to scale-up using innovative ingredients and APIs.
• Independently manage R&D projects, from ideation through to pilot batches, lab testing, and documentation.
• Research and evaluate new ingredients, delivery systems, and formulation technologies with a focus on efficacy and safety.
• Work closely with suppliers to source cutting-edge raw materials and integrate them into product development pipelines.
• Conduct and interpret results from stability, compatibility, and preservative efficacy testing (PET).
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive formulation documents, batch records, and technical data sheets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across various markets (e.g., FDA, EU, ASEAN) and support dossier creation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, packaging, production, regulatory) to bring innovative products to market.
• Troubleshoot formulation or processing issues during scale-up or manufacturing.
• Stay up to date with scientific literature, formulation trends, and cosmetic science innovations.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• 36 years of hands-on formulation experience in the cosmetics, skincare, or pharmaceutical space.
• Solid understanding of APIs, peptides, encapsulation technologies, and skin biology.
• Proven track record of developing stable and effective formulations independently.
• Strong understanding of global cosmetic regulations, safety assessments, and product claims.
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with clean beauty, bio-active formulations, or cosmeceuticals.
• Familiarity with clinical testing
