Job Description

As a Corporate Actions Analyst - Operations Officer at FNZ, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing all corporate events related to client assets held by the company. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all corporate actions are executed accurately and timely to provide a high level of service to beneficial owners. The assets under administration include Managed funds, Equities, and Fixed Interest products. Your key responsibilities will include processing both mandatory and voluntary corporate actions on various financial products within specified Key Performance Indicator targets. This involves handling coupon and dividend income allocation, maturities, fund closures, and various non-income corporate action events such as rights issues, takeovers, stock splits, conversions, share purchase plans, and IPOs. You will be required to gather relevant information from sources like fund managers, data feeds, Bloomberg, custodian agents, and market exchange websites to ensure accurate processing of corporate actions. Collaboration with the Client Relationship and Support team is essential to ensure effective communication of relevant information to and from clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining internal stock and cash ledger control accounts, reconciling client holdings with agent holdings during corporate actions, and working on system enhancements with the IT department to improve processing efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, you will work with FNZ management and team members to enhance processes, communicate with third parties such as fund managers and brokers, and manage daily corporate action business as usual activities within SLA/KPI requirements. Compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a motivated team environment to achieve company goals are also key aspects of the role. To excel in this role, you should possess proven time management and planning skills, demonstrate a high level of accuracy in task completion, excel in information sharing and teamwork, and take ownership of responsibilities. A background in financial markets with experience in corporate actions, tertiary qualifications, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential requirements. Your ability to handle financial market and IT system issues, attention to detail, communication skills, and enthusiasm to contribute to team success will be crucial in this position.
