You will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining written content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Your strong language skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain the brand's voice and style are crucial for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Review and edit written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax errors. - Ensure consistency in tone, style, and formatting following brand guidelines. - Verify facts, figures, and names for accuracy. - Collaborate with writers, designers, and content creators to enhance clarity and readability. - Provide suggestions for revisions to improve structure, flow, and engagement. - Adhere to style guides such as AP, Chicago, MLA, and company-specific editorial standards. - Proofread materials for print, web, and digital platforms. - Meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality standards. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Copy Editor, Proofreader, or similar role. - Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and writing conventions. - Familiarity with style guides like AP, Chicago, etc. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Proficiency in editing software such as Grammarly, Hemingway, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in publishing, marketing, or content creation. - Knowledge of SEO principles and digital content best practices. - Background in technical, legal, or medical editing would be advantageous if applicable.
