Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Perform comprehensive copy editing to correct grammar, punctuation, syntax, and formatting errors.
Ensure language consistency, accuracy, and flow across documents.
Review and refine content for clarity, readability, and tone as per project or brand guidelines.
Work closely with writers and content teams to enhance content quality.
Apply and maintain consistency with style guides (APA, MLA, Chicago, or in-house standards).
Conduct basic content writing or rewriting when required.
Ensure factual accuracy and logical coherence in all edited materials.
Manage multiple editing projects while meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

Proven experience in copy editing and language editing across various subject areas.
Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, and style conventions.
Familiarity with major copy-editing styles and guides (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
Ability to analyze and edit content from multiple domains (science, technology, business, humanities, etc.).
Basic content writing and rewriting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Bachelors or Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
