As an Assistant Cook, you play an essential role in the culinary world by offering support to head chefs and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Your responsibilities include supporting chefs in food preparation and cooking, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, assisting in dish preparation and cooking procedures, monitoring stock, and collaborating with the culinary team to ensure high-quality food and service. Key Responsibilities: - Supporting chefs in the preparation and cooking of food, including cutting and chopping. - Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. - Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. - Assisting in the preparation of dishes and cooking procedures, such as chopping vegetables, preparing meats, sauces, and marinades. - Monitoring stock levels and making requisitions for kitchen supplies and food items. - Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and food storage areas. - Collaborating with the culinary team to deliver high-quality food and service. Qualifications Required: - Education: SSC/HSC/Hotel management/Hospitality management. - Experience: 0-1 year of experience in a similar role, post-production experience is an added advantage. - Skills: Basic culinary knowledge and skills, knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, team spirit, and a passion for cooking.
