Controls & Automation Specialist - Mitsubishi

Role & responsibilities

Purpose of the Role

1) The person will be responsible for the ME activities (Project) of TVR plant equipment's especially on the Controls & Automation field. - 50% work load.
2) The person should perform the Global CARE (Conveyor Automation Robotic Engineering) related controls tasks, especially the controls components identification, codification and validation for the spares process. - 50% Work load

Key Job Responsibilities:

ME Activities at Thiruvallur plant Responsible for the controls & Automation activities at Thiruvallur plant - especially develop, Validate, Troubleshoot PLC Program and related equipments

Design and implement HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens for control systems.

Optimize existing PLC programs to improve performance and efficiency. Integrate Mitsubishi PLCs with other automation equipment, such as VFD Drives, robots, sensors, and SCADA systems.

Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of PLC-controlled systems.

Track the issues and systematically resolve / Report out Work with electrical and mechanical engineers to design automation solutions.

Responsible for the implementation, FAT, SAT, snag tracking, Closing and Buy off process Document software changes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

EE Region Controls activities

-->Work with corporate counterparts - understand the requirement and communicate effectively through TEAMS & Mail.

-->Understand the STELLANTIS Controls & Automation Standard adhere the spares parts codification process

-->Daily analysis and treatment of level 1 and orientation to level 2 (technical correspondent if necessary)

-->Daily, weekly, Monthly report out the status and way forward

Key Skills Expected

-->Hands on Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs (FX, Q, iQ-R series) on GX Works2 /GX Works3, GX Developer, and MELSOFT iQ Works platforms

-->Experience in HMI Programming in Mitsubishi Melsoft GTDesigner platform

-->Experience in VFD Programming, commissioning. Danfos make experience is desirable. -->Knowledge in handling verify the control deliverables: BOM, electrical drawings, control panel circuits, power wirings.

-->Knowledge in motion, motors, drives is desirable

-->Experience in handling, selection of various control components from Sensors to network levels. Trouble shooting, validation, Optimization and Execution of PLC logics,

-->Experience in Spares management is added advantage.

-->Analyze skills in trouble shoot production line automation issues Communicate effectively and work in collaboration with GSTD team and all customers, suppliers and plant staffs

-->Working in shifts to manage the EE region timing when required.

-->Experience in automotive environment - Develop & implement controls solutions for body shop, paint shop, assembly shop, Battery shop is desirable.

Software skills

MS Office, Outlook, PPT.

Good in English

Qualification Diploma / Engineering Graduate

Experience 5 - 15 years Experience at Line builder / Service provider / OEM with required skills Competencies

Behavioural Skills

Willingness to work in Thiruvallur Plant. Willingness to work in shifts, extending work hours (when necessary), week ends to manage the project activities for short period Willingness to accept other job responsibilities as and when needed. Represent in meetings with effective communications
