Control Systems Engineer

Role Overview: You have an exciting opportunity as a Control Systems Engineer to influence and shape the future of the Defence business in India. Your role involves collaborating with business and external stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones, enabling the execution of the Defence Combat strategy. You will be proposing innovative solutions for Controls system hardware, operating at the cutting edge of technology, and ensuring they meet customer requirements while considering the full product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborating across Engineering Disciplines, including Controls system design and software development. - Ensuring design solutions are tolerant of the operating environment. - Utilizing systems engineering, robust design, optimization, integration, and innovative tools and processes to achieve solutions. - Defining the physical and functional system, sub-systems, and components to meet customer requirements within weight, cost, and quality criteria. - Holding technical responsibility for the solutions throughout the technical approval process. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering. Other qualifications, combined with relevant experience, may also be considered. - Good understanding of Gas Turbine Engine and its sub-systems/product-systems. - Knowledge of key Controls components on Gas-Turbines. - Experience in writing Controls hardware requirements. - Experience working with flow-meters, fuel pump, oil pump, valves, servo-drive, etc., and integrating sensors (pressure, temperature, etc.) and actuators with controllers. - Experience in Controls system development and control & monitoring software development. - Experience in functional definition of harness and connectors. - Experience in preparing and executing Controls hardware verification strategy. - Desirable to have experience working in a test bed environment and hardware-in-loop testing. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, contributing effectively in a team environment.
