Job Summary: As a Contract Management Lead , you will play a key role in overseeing and managing contract operations for specific projects or accounts. You will lead or participate in contract management activities, work closely with client engagement teams, and contribute to risk management, portfolio development, and sales support. Additionally, you will mentor junior contract management staff, ensuring effective resource utilization and providing insights into contract management practices to support the growth and success of the project. Roles & Responsibilities: Leadership/Engagement: Lead or participate in the contract management team for specific projects or accounts, or operate as the contract management lead for small to medium portfolios, reporting to senior leadership. Collaborate with client engagement teams and client counterparts to provide day-to-day contract management support and gain a deep understanding of delivery requirements. Demonstrate the value of the contract management function to business and account leaders, showcasing how contract management contributes to project success. Serve as a role model for contract management staff , demonstrating leadership qualities, and actively participating in broader contract management activities. People & Portfolio Management / Development: Supervise, mentor, and coach junior contract management staff allocated to specific projects or accounts, ensuring the most effective utilization of resources. Participate in the performance review of junior staff, providing input for priority setting and performance achievement processes. Assess and identify training and educational needs for junior staff, particularly when acting as the contract management lead on a specific project or account. Contribute to the development and delivery of contract/commercial training modules for junior contract management staff on the project or account. Risk & Issue Management: Identify contract and commercial risks and issues , proposing appropriate mitigation strategies or solutions for approval. Escalate matters in a timely and controlled manner , adhering to prescribed guidelines, and ensure affected parties are notified appropriately. Draft and review reports in compliance with contract management processes and account delivery requirements, ensuring accurate documentation and updates. Sales Support: Provide support for pre-award sales activities , assisting in the development of responses to client RFPs or similar, working with the business to draft contract schedules, and participating in contract negotiations. Demonstrate a solid understanding of Accenture's offerings and the associated commercial considerations that align with client needs and project requirements. Contracting, Drafting, and Negotiation: Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) , Change Requests , Arrangement Letters , Subcontracts , Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) , and other contractual documents, working with project leadership to ensure timely reviews and high-quality documents that meet the project's needs. Collaborate with internal organizations and support negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes for both Accenture and clients , ensuring the best terms and conditions. Professional & Technical Skills: Contract Management Expertise: Strong understanding and experience in contract management, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contractual documents. Leadership and Mentoring: Ability to lead and mentor junior contract management staff, ensuring resource efficiency and staff development. Risk Management: Expertise in identifying contract-related risks and issues, with the ability to propose effective solutions. Sales Support: Familiarity with pre-award sales activities, including RFP development, contract drafting, and negotiation. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams and external clients, ensuring alignment and successful contract execution. Commercial Understanding: Knowledge of Accenture's offerings and commercial considerations that influence contract structures and negotiations. Experience Requirements: Proven experience in contract management , particularly in drafting and negotiating contracts, including SOWs, Change Requests, and NDAs. Demonstrated experience in leading or participating in contract management for specific projects or accounts. Experience managing and mentoring junior staff, with a focus on resource utilization and performance management. Background in supporting pre-award sales activities , including RFP responses and contract negotiations. Strong understanding of risk management practices and the ability to propose mitigation strategies for contract-related issues.
