As a Food Preparation Assistant, you will be responsible for the following tasks: - Clean and prepare all basic food items mise-en-place for both a la carte and buffet. - Help to prepare orders according to the standard procedures. - Pick up food requisition from the store and arrange all the items according to the FIFO system. - Clean and tidy up the walk-in chiller for fresh items. - Adhere strictly to the cleanliness of the kitchen area as well as equipment and machines. - Maintain proper personal appearance. - Adhere strictly to the standard recipes for the various dishes and avoid wastage. - Check and refill the buffet items. - Cut and clear food items from the buffet to avoid wastage of food items. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in a similar role preferred. - Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
