Content Moderator - Bengali Speaker (Gurgaon)

As a Content Moderator at ByteDance, you will be responsible for ensuring the legal compliance and safety of content uploaded to the platform. This role involves exposure to disturbing and potentially harmful content. You will work on developing, improving, and maintaining standards for the security of online communities. Your duties will include enhancing the content management strategy for short video platforms and coordinating with supervising departments to manage content that violates policies in a timely manner. You must have the ability to adapt and respond to the day-to-day challenges of the role in a high tempo environment. Resilience and a commitment to self-care are essential to manage the emotional demands of the position. Proficiency in Bengali is a requirement as the role involves supporting users in the Bengali-speaking market. Minimum qualifications for this role include fluency in English, as it will be the primary language for work. Proficiency in Bengali (reading, writing, and speaking) is critical for effective performance. You should be familiar with the internet, local laws, policies, and regulations, and possess cultural sensitivity along with an understanding of global/regional current affairs. Being an active user and having an interest in short video platforms is also important. Preferred qualifications include having completed a Bachelor's degree or above, familiarity or experience working on ByteDance or similar digital media projects, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and being open to working in a 24/7 rotational shift environment, including night shifts and weekends.
