CONTENT AND BRAND COPY EDITOR - OFFSHORE

Wealth Enhancement Group seeks a Copy Editor with a track record of producing financial services content that is error free and adheres to brand and editorial style guides. This person will provide a detailed grammar and style review of financial services content, ranging from blog posts, e-mail messages, landing pages, product copy and marketing collateral.
We are especially interested in resources with experience with AP style and who have worked on financial services content or another highly regulated industry. This person acts as the final set of eyes before content is submitted for compliance review. Partner with brand and content teams to ensure a compelling and consistent voice for all marketing an company materials. We prefer candidates who tend to be perfectionists and are extremely detail oriented and who have a proven track record copy editing excellence. Skills, availability and turnround times

• Ability to read, write and edit proficiently in US business English. Example articles here.
  • Resource must be able to work within team project management process (Example: Wrike) • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools • Available for some meetings during (US CST) business hours, up to 30 hours weekly • Ability to work independently and edit a variety of different copy formats (email, blogs, eBooks, presentations) • Ability to work remotely and communicate efficiently with team members and complete brief assignments overnight (CST) with larger tasks ideally completed within 48 hours. • Familiar with US and Global Investing topics and Industry Language • Highly organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments independently • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Word. • Comfortable with aggressive deadlines and shifting priorities. • Ability to quickly learn and emulate a distinct brand voice.
  • Able to edit and review large volumes of content quickly • 4-hour turn times for 1-3 page documents • 8-hour turn times for 5-7 page documents • Perform content rewrites as needed to adhere to editorial and brand style guides • Knowledge of AP Style, our brand is based on AP style with some documented nuances. • Provide an audience perspective and raise questions if content is confusing or unclear. • Able to adjust to an evolving brand voice as new positioning is rolled out. • Partner with our content team to identify opportunities to document additional style requirements as we develop a new messaging framework. • Strive for content perfection in adherence to grammar and content style guide. • Writing, editing, and publishing content for the newsroom. • Creating engaging copy for the website, with a focus on blogs. • Collaborating with advisors by proofreading and finalizing content, including radio scripts, columns, and CBS outlines.
• Obtain compliance approval on owned media outlines and articles.
  • Route owned media materials to stakeholders each week. • Publish radio shows, columns, and media appearances to Wealth Enhancement website.
