Consultant - US Accounting - Advisory

You will report to Accounting Seniors and Managers, contributing to various audit engagements. The firm's success is attributed to dedicated professionals who embody a sense of purpose, caring for colleagues, and a mission to help clients thrive. **Role Overview:** As a consultant at Withum, your primary responsibilities will include: - Entering and processing client accounting transactions in the appropriate software regularly and promptly. - Monitoring client portals to ensure timely processing of all transactions. - Performing compilation procedures as per firm and professional standards under engagement leaders" guidance. - Building technical proficiency in GAAP and accounting software systems for service provision. - Responding to client and internal requests promptly and professionally. - Proactively communicating with colleagues on open items, issues, or other important matters. - Adhering to set budgets and deadlines. - Preparing client engagement-related correspondence. - Participating in core CPE programs and community activities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or equivalent education/experience. CA Inter or article ship preferred. - QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred but not required initially. - 2+ years of prior bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred. - Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks and/or Dynamics GP preferred. - Strong communication skills and team player. - Effective planning, prioritization, and organization abilities. - Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. - Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines. - Independent worker with flexibility in scheduling. - Presents a professional demeanor and maintains client confidentiality. - Demonstrates personal objectivity and professional skepticism.
