Consultant - US Accounting - Advisory

In this role at Withum India, you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team of US and India-based accounting professionals. You will report to Accounting Seniors and Managers, contributing to various audit engagements. Monitoring client portals, performing compilation procedures according to professional standards, and developing technical competency in GAAP and accounting software systems will be key aspects of your role. Proactively communicating with colleagues, meeting deadlines, and participating in community activities are also essential responsibilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Enter and process client accounting transactions using appropriate software - Monitor client portals to ensure timely processing of transactions - Perform compilation procedures as directed by engagement leaders - Develop technical competency in GAAP and accounting software systems - Respond to client and firm associate requests professionally and accurately - Communicate with colleagues regarding open items and important matters - Adhere to budgets and deadlines - Prepare correspondence related to client engagements - Participate in core CPE programs - Identify additional client opportunities by becoming familiar with Withum service offerings - Participate in community activities to build positive relationships **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or equivalent education/experience (CA Inter or article ship preferred) - QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred (required post-hire) - 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred - Experience with QuickBooks and/or Dynamics GP is a plus - Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team - Effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills - Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously - Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Independent worker with flexibility in scheduling - Professional appearance and demeanor - Commitment to client confidentiality and professional skepticism Please note that the company values personal growth and teamwork, and your contributions will be crucial to the success of engagements and client service excellence.,
