Technical Excellence -

• Research and analyze complex, novel, and interesting tax technical issues for advising clients/ client teams
• Assist by providing accurate, timely and reliable drafts for research papers, guidance notes, opinions, and memos on tax technical issues
• Monitor statutes, legislative activity, judicial developments and tax publications to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting direct tax
• Assist in drafting alerts for the firm that keep clients and practice informed of key direct tax developments andlandmark judicial precedents
• Support EY's policy initiatives by preparing representationson specific tax issues for consultation with Tax Department
• Assist partners in preparing presentations for external/ internal direct tax conferences

Skills and attributes:

To qualify for the role, you must have

Qualification -

Chartered Accountant - Sep 25, preferably first attempt (higher marks in Direct Taxes subject will have more preference)

Internship/ articleship experience in field of Direct Tax would be preferrable.

Experience in following areas will also be subject to preference -

• Research on issues related to income tax
  
• Exposure to tax litigations preparing written submissions, ground of appeals, representation before tax authorities
  
• Preparation of tax audit or Transfer pricing audit reports
  
• Advised clients on aspects of transactions tax like tax implications on mergers, amalgamation, demerger, slump sale etc.
  
• Preparation of IT returns, TDS returns, etc.
  
• Candidates having any of the following experiences will have added preference
  
  • Participation in income tax seminars, conferences, lecture meetings organised by professional bodies like ICAI, BCAS or CTC
    
  • Delivered presentations, trainings or written articles on income tax subjects
