Position Overview

Consultant Anesthetist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and determine the best anesthesia plan.
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia safely and effectively.
• Monitor patients vital signs during surgery and in the recovery phase.
• Manage post-operative pain and critical care anesthesia cases.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrests.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and ICU teams for patient management.
• Maintain proper records of anesthesia and patient data.
• Ensure all anesthesia equipment and drugs are maintained and ready for use.
• Supervise and mentor anesthesia technicians and junior doctors.
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety and NABH / JCI protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS + MD / DNB (Anesthesiology)

  from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with Medical Council (MCI / State Council).
• Minimum

  5 years of post-MD experience

  in a multi-speciality setup preferred.
• Exposure to ICU, trauma, and emergency cases desirable.
