Construction Store Keeper

Job Description

Receive, inspect, and record materials delivered to the site. Ensure materials are stored properly and safely to prevent damage. Maintain an organized inventory system (manual or digital). Track stock levels and reorder materials as needed. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical stock with records. Ensure that the stock is used efficiently to minimize waste. Issue materials to workers based on project needs and approved requisitions. Maintain records of issued materials and ensure the proper use. Keep accurate logs and reports of materials received, issued, and used. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports for management. Communicate with suppliers for material orders, deliveries, and returns. Work closely with the project manager and other departments for smooth operations. Ensure all stored materials comply with safety standards. Monitor hazardous materials and ensure proper handling and storage. Check quality and quantity of materials upon delivery. Report any discrepancies or damaged goods immediately. Prevent theft or misplacement of materials by securing the store and maintaining access control. Label and categorize materials for easy access. Keep the storage area clean and orderly to ensure efficient retrieval.
