Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Prepare detailed project schedules including Master Schedule, Look-Ahead, Weekly and Daily Plans.

  • Develop baseline programs using Primavera P6 / MS Project.

  • Define milestones, critical path (CPM), and activity sequencing.

  • Plan slab cycles, shuttering cycles, manpower cycles, and equipment deployment.

2. Progress Monitoring & Control

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline schedules.

  • Identify delays, bottlenecks, and risks proactively.

  • Update schedules regularly and prepare recovery and catch-up plans.

  • Analyze critical activities and recommend corrective actions.

3. Coordination with Site & Stakeholders

  • Coordinate with site execution teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.

  • Ensure availability of drawings, work fronts, materials, and manpower as per schedule.

  • Support site teams in resolving planning-related issues.

  • Participate in progress review meetings.

4. Resource Planning & Optimization

  • Plan and optimize manpower, machinery, materials, and formwork.

  • Prepare resource histograms and deployment schedules.

  • Minimize idle resources and improve productivity.

  • Support procurement planning with material requirement schedules.

5. Delay Analysis & Claims Support

  • Identify and document reasons for delays including client, consultant, vendor, and force majeure.

  • Maintain delay logs and supporting records.

  • Assist commercial team in EOT (Extension of Time) and claims preparation.

  • Conduct impact analysis for design changes or scope variations.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports.

  • Prepare catch-up and revised schedules.

  • Maintain planning records for audits and disputes.

  • Provide planning data for management decision-making.

7. Interface with Billing & Commercial Team

  • Support RA bill planning and milestone achievement.

  • Cross-check executed quantities with planned quantities.

  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and billing targets.

8. Risk Management & Forecasting

  • Identify schedule risks and forecast project completion dates.

  • Recommend mitigation strategies for delays.

  • Support management in planning-related decisions.

9. Quality, Safety & Compliance Support

  • Align planning with quality inspection stages.

  • Integrate safety activities into construction schedules.

  • Coordinate inspections, shutdowns, and approvals without impacting timelines.

10. Software & Tools

  • Primavera P6 / MS Project

  • Advanced Excel

  • Power BI / Dashboards (if applicable)

  • AutoCAD (basic understanding)

Key Skills Required

  • Strong analytical, coordination, and planning skills

  • Knowledge of construction methodologies and project controls

  • Understanding of contracts and claims

  • Effective communication with site teams and management

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
