Computer Technician

Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Patna is looking for a skilled and motivated **Computer Hardware Technician** to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of modern computer hardware, networking, and system installation. You will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure and ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of computer systems within the school premises.

Key Responsibilities:

• * Install, configure, and maintain modern computer hardware, peripherals, and accessories.
• * Set up and manage Local Area Networks (LAN), internet connections, and related infrastructure.
• * Configure routers, modems, and network devices for secure and efficient connectivity.
• * Install and troubleshoot various operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• * Provide basic technical support to faculty and staff for hardware/software issues.
• * Perform routine maintenance and updates of computer systems.
• * Maintain inventory of hardware and IT supplies.
• * Assist in setting up smart classrooms, projectors, printers, etc.

Requirements:

• * Graduate in any discipline (BCA/B.Sc IT/Diploma in Hardware & Networking preferred).
• * Proven knowledge of modern computer hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• * Proficiency in setting up LAN, internet, and networking devices.
• * Familiarity with OS installation (Windows/Linux) and basic configuration.
• * Must own a two-wheeler (bike/scooty) for travel between school campuses or for procurement runs.
• * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

### **Desirable Qualities:**

• * Previous experience in a school or educational environment is a plus.
• * Basic understanding of CCTV systems, smart boards, and AV equipment is an advantage.
• * Good communication skills and professional behavior.
