Job Description: Computer Operator (Law Firm)Position: Computer Operator (Legal Documentation & Case Management)

Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred

Location: Shivajinagar, Pune

Job Responsibilities:

  • File Management: Organizing, maintaining, and managing legal case files (physical & digital) systematically.
  • Scanning & Preservation: Scanning, indexing, and securely preserving legal documents and case records.
  • E-Filing of Cases: Handling and processing e-filing of court cases on various legal portals (District Court, High Court, DRT, etc.).
  • MIS Management: Maintaining Management Information System (MIS) for tracking case progress, deadlines, and updates.
  • Mail Merge & Documentation: Preparing bulk legal notices, court documents, and agreements using Mail Merge.
  • Billing & Invoicing: Preparing invoices, tracking payments, following up with clients for outstanding dues, and maintaining financial records.
  • Court and Compliance Assistance: Assisting lawyers in case scheduling, reminders, and compliance tracking.
  • Coordination & Communication: Liaising with courts, clients, and other stakeholders for case-related requirements.
  • IT & Software Support: Basic troubleshooting of computers, printers, and legal software used for document preparation and case management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate / Diploma Holder in Computer Applications, IT, or any relevant field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Mail Merge, and PDF tools.
  • Experience in e-filing of cases on various legal portals will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of data entry, file indexing, and document security protocols.
  • Ability to handle invoicing, billing software, and client coordination professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of legal terms and document formats will be beneficial.

Preferred Candidates:

  • Candidates with experience working in a law firm, legal department, or banking legal support team.
  • Professionals who can handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Individuals with good communication and coordination skills for dealing with clients and court clerks.
