Job Description

Your work will involve expanding renewables, transforming conventional power, strengthening electrical grids, driving industrial decarbonization, and ensuring a secure supply chain. Key Responsibilities: - Core Component Design: - Design and develop core steam turbine components and Flywheels (forged, casted & fabricated) with a focus on performance, durability, cost, and ease of manufacturing and service. - Create detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials (BOMs). - Conduct fit and function studies to verify design integrity and compatibility. - Issue Resolution: - Assess non-conformance reports (NCRs) and determine corrective actions. - Address manufacturing deviations and field issues by delivering timely and efficient solutions. - Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies. - Team Leadership: - Lead and guide a design team to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs within project budgets and timelines. - Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, service, and other relevant stakeholders. - Documentation & Communication: - Manage comprehensive design documentation and participate in technical reviews. - Present analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders and management. - Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in written and verbal English communication and the ability to work effectively in a global team environment. Qualifications: - Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical engineering. - 5+ years of experience in steam turbine design or similar rotating equipment. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD). - Understanding of thermodynamics and Finite Element Analysis. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and SAP. - Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, DIN). - Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities. - Experience in manufacturing processes and service engineering is advantageous.
