Key Responsibilities: Core Component Design: - Design and innovate core steam turbine components and Flywheels (forged, casted & fabricated) while considering performance, durability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manufacturing and maintenance. - Create detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials (BOMs). - Conduct fit and function studies to guarantee design integrity and compatibility. Issue Resolution: - Assess non-conformance reports (NCRs) and establish corrective measures. - Address manufacturing discrepancies and on-field issues by offering timely and efficient solutions. - Proficient in root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques. Team Leadership: - Guide and mentor a design team to ensure high-quality deliverables within project timelines and budgets. - Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, service, and other relevant stakeholders. Documentation & Communication: - Uphold detailed design documentation and contribute to technical reviews. - Deliver findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management. - Possess strong interpersonal skills in written and verbal English for effective global team collaboration. Qualifications: - Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical engineering. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in steam turbine design or similar rotating equipment. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD). - Understanding of thermodynamics and Finite Element Analysis. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and SAP. - Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, DIN). - Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication capabilities. - Experience in manufacturing processes and service engineering is advantageous.
