Compliance & Sourcing Engineer

As a Sourcing & Compliance Engineer in the Supply Chain Management department, your role will involve ensuring that all materials, components, and finished products meet global safety, EMI/EMC, and certification standards for high-volume consumer electronics. You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to embed compliance, reliability, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Identify applicable global regulations and standards such as RoHS, REACH, WEEE, CE, FCC, BIS, EMI/EMC, etc. - Ensure product and component compliance for safety, environmental, and electromagnetic compatibility requirements. - Prepare and maintain technical documentation, certification files, DoCs, and test reports. - Conduct supplier and factory audits to evaluate quality systems, process capability, and compliance readiness. - Manage product lifecycle compliance including PCN/EOL documentation, material declarations, and change control. - Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations to ensure sourcing and compliance align with technical and business goals. Qualifications: - B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (Masters or MBA preferred). - 3-6 years of experience in electronics sourcing, supplier quality, or product compliance in a consumer electronics or EMS/ODM environment. - Strong working knowledge of product safety and certification frameworks. - Excellent analytical, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
