Job Summary

Compliance Auditor

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance audits for multiple clients in accordance with Lawrbits audit frameworks and client-specific requirements.
  
• Review and assess the adequacy of internal controls, risk management practices, and adherence to statutory/regulatory obligations.
  
• Identify compliance gaps and provide actionable recommendations for mitigation and process improvement.
  
• Prepare and present clear, concise, and insightful audit reports to internal teams and clients.
  
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business processes and gather audit evidence.
  
• Stay updated on evolving legal and regulatory changes across industries and jurisdictions.
  
• Assist in the development of audit checklists, methodologies, and compliance tools.
  
• Work closely with internal teams including Legal Research, Technology, and Client Servicing to ensure seamless delivery.
  
• Travel to client locations (across India) as needed for onsite audits.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• 3 to 7 years of experience in compliance auditing, internal audit, or risk management, preferably in a multi-client or consulting environment.
  
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks (RBI, SEBI, Companies Act, FSSAI, GST, Environmental, Labor, etc.).
  
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with compliance management tools is a plus.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements independently.
  
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally to other client locations.
  

Preferred Certifications

• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
  
• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
  
• LLB / CA / CMA / CS
  
• Any relevant compliance, audit, or risk management certifications
