You will be joining Shapoorji Pallonji Bumi Armada Offshore Private Limited and SP Armada Oil Exploration Private Limited, both International Safety Award-winning companies based in Mumbai, India. Specializing in providing Floating Production Storage and Offloading facilities to Oil & Gas producing companies in Western Offshore Oil & Gas fields. As a DCS/IT professional, your role will be on-site at FPSO with responsibilities including network administration, information technology tasks, troubleshooting, network security, and customer service. This is a full-time position at Shapoorji Pallonji Bumi Armada JVCs- India in Mumbai, with a duration of 11 Months on a rotational schedule of 35 days on and 35 days off. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 5-7 years" experience in the Oil & Gas Industry specifically in a DCS/ PLC/ SCADA/HMI Environment, Offshore/ FPSO operations. Experience with Kongsberg/ABB DCS is highly preferable. Additionally, a good understanding of control philosophy with Package equipment /Systems such as gas compressors, Gas Turbines, Boiler, Fire & Gas, EDS, Water injections, Oil Production & Storage, and offloading is required. Exposure to communication systems like VSAT, VHF, UH, and RF Systems along with knowledge of IT infrastructure including computer operating systems, computer networking, internet technology, servers, routers, and switches will be beneficial. R 1. Preventive Maintenance Routine Inspections : Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems (e.g., power distribution networks, control panels, motors) to identify potential issues before they escalate. Scheduled Servicing : Perform maintenance tasks on electrical equipment, such as cleaning, calibration, and testing, according to manufacturer recommendations or industry standards. Monitoring : Use diagnostic tools and sensors to continuously monitor the performance of electrical systems, identifying areas for improvement or repair. 2. Corrective Maintenance Troubleshooting : Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions in equipment and systems, such as circuit failures, wiring issues, or power outages. Repairs : Carry out repairs or replacements of faulty electrical components like transformers, circuit breakers, switches, motors, and wiring to restore functionality. Testing After Repair : Perform post-repair testing to ensure systems are fully operational and safe. 3. System Upgrades and Modifications Upgrading Equipment : Replace outdated or worn-out electrical components with newer, more efficient ones to enhance performance and efficiency. Retrofits : Modify existing electrical systems to comply with new safety regulations, improve energy efficiency, or integrate new technology (e.g., automation systems, renewable energy solutions). Software Updates : Update control systems and other software-based electrical systems to ensure compatibility and enhanced functionality. 4. Safety and Compliance Ensuring Safety : Implement and enforce electrical safety standards, protocols, and procedures to prevent accidents and hazards, including electrical shocks, fires, and equipment damage. Testing for Safety : Conduct tests like insulation resistance tests, earth continuity tests, and high-voltage tests to ensure equipment operates within safe parameters. Compliance with Standards : Ensure that all maintenance activities are in line with local, national, and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC). 5. Documentation and Reporting Maintenance Records : Keep detailed logs of all maintenance activities, including inspection results, repairs, replacements, and system performance. Service Reports : Prepare detailed service reports outlining the nature of faults, the corrective actions taken, and recommendations for future preventive measures. Inventory Management : Maintain an inventory of electrical parts, tools, and equipment to ensure necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks. 6. Collaboration with Other Departments Coordination with Production : Work closely with the production or operations teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting normal operations. Training : Train technicians and other personnel on proper use, basic troubleshooting, and safety procedures for handling electrical equipment. Consultation : Provide expert advice to management or other departments regarding upgrades, system improvements, and compliance with electrical standards. 7. Emergency Response Fault Response : Act as the first point of contact during electrical emergencies, such as power failures or equipment breakdowns, and quickly restore service. Root Cause Analysis : Investigate the root cause of electrical failures and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences. 8. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Energy Audits : Conduct energy audits of electrical systems to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption and improving efficiency. Implementing Energy-Efficient Solutions : Implement energy-saving measures, such as installing energy-efficient motors, lighting, and control systems, or utilizing renewable energy sources. 9. Equipment Calibration Precision Testing : Calibrate electrical instruments and control systems to ensure accurate readings and performance. Maintaining System Accuracy : Regularly verify that all electrical systems, including sensors, meters, and controllers, are properly calibrated for reliable operation. Tools and Equipment Used in Maintenance: Multimeters : For measuring voltage, current, and resistance. Oscilloscopes : To monitor waveforms and diagnose faults in electrical circuits. Thermal Imaging Cameras : To detect overheating components. Megohmmeters (Insulation Testers) : To test insulation resistance and ensure equipment integrity.
