Consultant Radiologist

As a Radiologist, your role involves obtaining patients" histories from electronic records, patient interviews, dictated reports, or by communicating with referring clinicians. You will prepare comprehensive interpretive reports of findings and perform or interpret the outcomes of various diagnostic imaging procedures such as MRI, CT, PET, nuclear cardiology treadmill studies, mammography, or ultrasound. Additionally, you will review or transmit images and information using picture archiving or communications systems and communicate examination results or diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, or families. Your key responsibilities will include: - Evaluating medical information to determine patients" risk factors or make decisions regarding the appropriateness of procedures - Performing interventional procedures like image-guided biopsy, angioplasty, biliary drainage, and catheter placement - Providing counseling to radiologic patients to explain processes, risks, benefits, or alternative treatments - Administering or maintaining conscious sedation during and after procedures - Instructing radiologic staff in desired techniques, positions, or projections - Conferring with medical professionals regarding image-based diagnoses - Coordinating radiological services with other medical activities - Documenting the performance, interpretation, or outcomes of all procedures performed - Interpreting images using computer-aided detection or diagnosis systems - Treating malignant growths by exposure to radiation from radiographs, high energy sources, or radioisotopes - Recognizing or treating complications during and after procedures This role is full-time and permanent, requiring you to work in day shifts, morning shifts, and rotational shifts at the designated in-person work location.,
