Roles and Responsibilities:1. Diagnostic Imaging & Reporting Perform and interpret imaging investigations such as X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other modalities as applicable. Provide accurate, detailed, and timely reports to the concerned departments. Ensure high-quality imaging standards and patient safety during procedures. 2. Patient Care Explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent where required. Ensure patient comfort and follow radiation safety protocols. Identify urgent/critical findings and immediately communicate them to treating consultants. 3. Clinical Collaboration Collaborate with physicians and surgeons for diagnosis and treatment planning. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions. Provide second opinions when requested. 4. Quality Control & Compliance Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of radiology equipment. Adhere to hospital policies, NABH standards, and radiation safety guidelines. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with statutory requirements. 5. Training & Development Guide and supervise radiology technicians and support staff. Conduct training sessions on imaging protocols, safety, and workflow improvement. 6. Administrative Responsibilities Monitor daily workflow and reduce reporting delays. Contribute to departmental improvement and development of new imaging services. Participate in audits and continuous quality improvement activities.
