Job Description

As a Commodity Manager at our company, your role will involve providing leadership and utilizing your expertise to shape processes and supply directions/strategies throughout the organization. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of indirect material and services, tracking various commodity trends and developing strategies to maximize market opportunities and reduce risks due to commodity fluctuations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the Tenneco India Enterprise level indirect spend, managing opportunities in coordination with plants, distribution centers, and BUs, and actively participating in further improvements of purchasing tools, processes, and guidelines from an Indirect Purchasing perspective. Additionally, you will provide leadership, expertise, and direction to buyers in negotiation strategy and during negotiations. Your experience in managing commodities like tooling, dies, MRO, Facility Management, and services will be essential in monitoring and executing purchasing business plans for the commodities you manage. You will also be responsible for ensuring purchasing audit compliance (system and process) and executing supplier contracts at the enterprise level.
