A Commi II, also known as a Commis 2, is a junior culinary role in a commercial kitchen, typically supporting more experienced chefs and cooks. In an Indian kitchen setting, your responsibilities often include assisting in the preparation of Indian dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and following recipes. You may also be involved in stock management, hygiene practices, and basic culinary techniques. Your specific responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, such as chopping, measuring ingredients, and preparing basic sauces and salads. It is essential to maintain a clean and organized work station and ensure the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. You will also assist in stock management by receiving deliveries, checking stock levels, and ensuring proper storage procedures. Adhering to food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients, and maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene is crucial. Following instructions from senior chefs and adhering to kitchen procedures and recipes is a key part of your role. We are looking for male candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience for this full-time position.
