Commis 1 (Halwai/South Indian/Asian)

As a Food Preparation Associate at Four Points by Sheraton Amritsar Mall Road, your primary responsibility will be to prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will also be required to wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. In this role, you will be expected to operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. It will be imperative to test foods to ensure they are cooked adequately and monitor food quality throughout the preparation process. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down your work station, serving food in appropriate portions, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area by washing and disinfecting tools, equipment, and surfaces. Your commitment to following company policies, safety procedures, and maintaining a clean and professional appearance will be crucial. Communication skills will also play a vital role as you interact with team members and strive to build positive working relationships. Your ability to meet quality expectations and standards, as well as perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting objects, and bending as required, will be essential for success in this role. To be considered for this position, you should have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience. Supervisory experience is not required, and no specific license or certification is necessary.
