Job Description

Collection Officer / Collections Executive (On-roll, Microfinance – field role)

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit customers to follow up on pending or overdue loan repayments, ensuring timely collection of EMIs.
  • Educate customers on repayment schedules, terms, and consequences of defaults.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection visits and update payment status regularly.
  • Liaise with internal teams to escalate and resolve customer disputes or issues.
  • Assist field teams in client surveys, debt recovery tracking, and data management if required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Educational background: Minimum SSLC (10th pass); bachelor’s degree (B.Com, BBA, etc.) preferred in some postings.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of financial principles and debt collection practices.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate independently and collaborate with other teams.
  • Proficiency in the local language(s) is preferred.

Logistics & Mobility

  • Must possess a two-wheeler and a valid driving license to cover field areas efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (100%) throughout the assigned region/catchment area.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: ₹14,000 – ₹20,000 per month (varies by region)
  • incentives/commissions up to ₹20,000–₹25,000+.
  • Allowances and benefits include:
  • Petrol/fuel allowance.
  • Health & medical insurance, life insurance, Provident Fund, ESIC/PF benefits.
  • Performance-based bonuses and opportunities for internal promotions and skill development.

Work Schedule & Location

  • Full-time, on-roll position with day-shift schedules.
  • 100% on-field presence; no remote or hybrid work.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Freshers welcome; ideal for candidates with 0–4 years of experience in collections or similar roles.
  • Young professionals (age 18–30) with basic computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, meeting targets, and operating independently in rural and semi-urban settings.
