Job Description

Cognex Vision Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

Develop and configure
Cognex-based vision applications
using platforms like
In-Sight Explorer
,
VisionPro
, or
Cognex Designer
.
Set up and fine-tune
OCR
,
pattern matching
,
edge detection
, and
measurement tools
.
Calibrate vision systems and adjust lighting, lenses, and filters for optimal inspection results.
Integrate vision systems with
PLC, SCADA
, and
factory automation systems
.
Work closely with production and QA teams to ensure high system performance and reliability.
Debug and troubleshoot vision issues in real-time production scenarios.
Create and maintain
technical documentation
of vision solutions, configurations, and performance data.
Provide support and training to on-site staff or customer teams as needed.

Preferred candidate profile:

Proven hands-on experience with Cognex OCR tools, especially OCRMax.
Solid understanding of machine vision principles, image processing, and industrial lighting techniques.
Strong ability to interpret and fine-tune camera output for optimal OCR results.
Experience working with factory automation systems and industrial communication protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
