Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Harvesting Oversight:
Plan and manage harvesting schedules for network farmers to ensure timely and efficient picking of coffee cherries while maintaining quality standards
.
Quality Control:
Implement quality and yield improvement programs, monitor crop health, and conduct field trials. Train field staff on post-harvest best practices for cherry handling.
Post-Harvest Processing:
Provide technical advice and monitor processes such as drying, sorting, and hulling to ensure consistent quality performance.
Sustainability and Compliance:
Promote sustainable farming practices aligned with post-harvest quality requirements and ensure compliance with industry regulations and certification standards.
Data Management:
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to crop performance, field trials, and processing outcomes to guide decision-making and optimize operations.
Farmer Relations:
Build strong relationships with network farmers, address daily concerns, and encourage adherence to post-harvest protocols through effective communication.
Technical Guidance:
Deliver technical training sessions and field demonstrations on agronomy topics, including soil management, harvest techniques, and post-harvest handling.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience 5+ Years on similar role
Bachelors degree in Agricultural Science or a related field (mandatory)
Proven experience in contract farming, field operations, and agricultural supply chain management.
Familiarity with organic, regenerative, or pesticide-free farming methods is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for training and collaboration with farmers.
Proficiency in using agricultural data management tools and analyzing field data.
