Mandatory Skills:

• Proficient in professional English & Hindi communication (spoken & written)
• Proficient in working on computers (MS Office, email, etc.) and digital content creation
• Proficiency in teaching through & using smartboards, educational apps, LMS, ERP
• Skilled in vocal or instrumental performance, and proficient in at least one Hindustani classical or contemporary/western dance form.
• Strong stage presence, choreography skills, and the ability to coordinate group performances.

• Dynamic and self-driven about performing arts music and dance and creativity of the students

Roles & Responsibilities:

As per CBSE Teachers Handbook Chapters 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 15, and not limited to the following:

• Ensure Safe, Uplifting, & Noble (SUN) learning environment
• Ensure anger-free, corporal punishment free, stress-free learning environment
• Create lesson plans that are student-centric, STEAM-based, inquiry-led, and activity-oriented
• Facilitate interactive classroom sessions that encourage active learning and collaboration
• Conduct formative assessments of students on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as required
• Prepare assessment reports, manage online grading, and track attendance systematically
• Maintain classroom decorum and communicate with parents regularly regarding student progress and academic counselling
• Deliver quality education using smartboards, educational apps, LMS, and blended learning techniques and create engaging digital content and maintain all records and stock registers
• Comply sincerely with Principals instructions and coordinate effectively with academic staff
• Plan and conduct vocal and/or instrumental music classes for students across different grades, aligned with the school’s academic and co-curricular programs.
• Teach both theoretical and practical aspects of music including rhythm, melody, notation, and performance techniques.
• Prepare students for school assemblies, cultural programs, inter-school music competitions, and annual events.
• Identify and mentor talented students for advanced performance opportunities and external examinations.
• Collaborate with other staff members to organize concerts, choir presentations, music workshops, and cultural festivals
• Promote discipline, teamwork, and confidence through performing arts education
• Discharge all academic duties beyond the curriculum teaching/ training/coaching

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Dance from a recognized university.
  OR
• B.A. in Music followed by a minimum 2-year Diploma or Certificate in the relevant field from a government-recognized institute.
• Recognized Diplomas / Certifications from any of the following institutions will also be accepted (along with a general graduation degree or equivalent qualification):
• Prachin Kala Kendra (Chandigarh)
• Gandharva Mahavidyalaya
• Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth
• Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Allahabad)
• Kalakshetra Foundation or equivalent classical dance academies.

Freshers with CBSE education/minimum 2 years of relevant teaching or coaching experience in a school or performing arts institution
