CNC Operator

Job Title: CNC Operator (Wood / MDF / Plywood)

Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Factory Manager
Location: Bhubaneswar

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to operate and maintain CNC machines used for cutting, routing, drilling, and shaping wood-based materials such as MDF, plywood, and laminates. The role requires accuracy, quality control, and timely execution as per design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines for wood, MDF, plywood, laminates, and boards
• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, and cutting layouts
• Set up machines, tooling, fixtures, and materials before operation
• Ensure precise cutting as per dimensions and quality standards
• Perform routine checks, calibration, and basic maintenance
• Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot minor issues
• Maintain production logs and daily output reports
• Follow safety procedures and maintain workplace cleanliness
• Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams

Required Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience with CNC machine operation (woodworking preferred)
• Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Aspire, VCarve, etc.)
• Ability to read drawings and measure accurately
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and workshop safety

Qualification & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in CNC / Mechanical / Wood Technology (preferred)
• 1–2 years experience in CNC operation (interior/furniture industry preferred)
