CNC Operator

Reports to: Machine Shop Supervisor / Production In‑charge

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (turning, milling, VMC, VTL etc.) according to job orders, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures.
• Load raw materials and fixtures; select correct cutting tools; ensure proper tool offsets.
• Monitor machining process; check parts during and after machining for dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM‑based instructions.
• Make necessary adjustments of machine settings or programs to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of machines; report problems and perform minor troubleshooting.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality protocols. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Record production data (machine hours, output, downtime, scrap etc.).
• Coordinate with quality control, maintenance, and production planning teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 10th / 12th pass; technical/vocational certification or ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die / CNC or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Prior experience (1‑2 years) operating CNC machines, ideally in heavy metal/casting machining environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Familiarity with CNC programming & codes (G‑code / M‑code) is a plus.
• Good knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges etc.).
• Basic mechanical aptitude – ability to troubleshoot small issues, change tools, align fixtures.
• Physically fit: capable of standing for long hours; handling heavy materials.
• Able to work shifts; punctual, disciplined, safety‑conscious.

Compensation & Other Details

• Work timings: typically Day shift (9:00 AM – 6:30 PM), Monday‑Saturday.WorkIndia
• Employment type: Full‑time.
• Training may be provided for qualified candidates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
