CNC Machine Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator with hands-on experience in operating CNC machines using Siemens 828D and Mitsubishi M80V controllers. The ideal candidate should also possess strong Mastercam programming skills and demonstrate sound knowledge of machining operations and tool path generation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC vertical milling machines with Siemens 828D and Mitsubishi M80V controllers.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and technical documentation to execute machining operations accurately.
• Generate and edit CNC programs using Mastercam for 2D and 3D components.
• Knowledge on 4th and 5th axis machining is highly required and able to create and work with multi-axis programming
• Set up workpieces, select appropriate tooling, and verify machine offsets and parameters.
• Perform in-process inspection using precision measurement tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform minor maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Collaborate with programmers, production, and quality teams for continuous process improvements.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or relevant field.
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a CNC operator.
• Proficient in Mastercam programming and tool path generation.
• Sound knowledge of machining processes (milling, turning, drilling, tapping).
• Experience in operating CNC machines with Siemens 828D and Mitsubishi M80V controllers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to robotic automation or handling industrial robots (e.g., Yaskawa, Fanuc, or KUKA) is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work in shifts if required.
