CNC Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate steel manufacturing machines such as rolling mills, cutting machines, furnaces, presses, CNC machines, or shearing equipment
• Set up machines according to production specifications and job orders
• Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth performance and product quality
• Adjust machine controls to regulate speed, temperature, pressure, or material flow
• Inspect finished steel products for defects, dimensions, and quality compliance
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of machines
• Identify and report machine malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors
• Follow safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Assist in minimizing material waste and downtime
• Work closely with supervisors, quality, and maintenance teams

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of steel manufacturing processes and machinery
• Ability to read production drawings, job cards, and technical instructions
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Physical stamina to handle standing, lifting, and shift work
• Awareness of industrial safety standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate (Mechanical, Fitter, Turner, or related trade preferred)
• Industrial safety training is an advantage

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience as a machine operator in a steel or heavy manufacturing environment
• Freshers with technical training may also be considered

Working Conditions

• Factory / plant environment
• Rotational shifts, including night shifts
• Exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
